About Us

Bushveld Delights is a family enterprise born from a passion for tradition, health, and authenticity. Our journey began in 2019 when we relocated from Cape Town, South Africa, to Sweden. It was during this transition that we embarked on a quest to recreate the beloved South African dishes we cherished, using more natural methods.

Our Journey with Sour Dough

Our exploration led us to sour dough, which not only addressed our long-standing gluten sensitivity but also introduced us to a rewarding culinary practice. Discovering the benefits of sour dough, we transitioned our baking to include a variety of breads, pizzas, vetkoek, and rusks—almost exclusively using this traditional method. While cakes remain a challenge without baking powder, our focus remains on perfecting other gluten-free, naturally leavened creations.

Beyond Baked Goods

In addition to baking, we have taken on the craft of making chutneys, something we could source locally but prefer crafting ourselves to ensure transparency and quality. This reflects our commitment to understanding every ingredient in our products.
